Rehearsal and sound system check for Tacoma Basic SK Course classroom instructors. (not for students)

Rehearsal begins at 9am. Come a bit early to help set up. We'll finish at latest by 12:30.

This event is NOT for students.

 This event is for those who are teaching a segment of the upcoming Tacoma Basic SK Course classroom session. If that’s you, you are encouraged to attend!

 This is a rehearsal session with the following purposes.

  • For presenters to do a dry run of their presentation and receive constructive feedback.
  • Check of  sound and projection systems. Marty Mayock will help us figure out any issues (thanks so much Marty!)
  • To ensure that all ppt files work with the equipment we’ll be using.
  • To collect all presentation files onto one computer (Brian Predmore’s), allowing for smooth transitions during the classroom session.

Required Equipment

The kayaking essentials (see below) plus the Ten Essentials. Additional equipment may be required by the leader - please check the Leader's notes for additional information!

  1. Flotation in both ends of the kayak
  2. U.S. Coast Guard approved Personal Flotation Device (PFD)
  3. Paddle
  4. Spray skirt
  5. Bilge pump with flotation
  6. Self-rescue paddle float
  7. Waterproof whistle
  8. Appropriate clothing and immersion wear for the conditions

 

Trip Reports
