Trip will initially open to Tacoma Branch Conditioning Hiking Students.  Trip will open for registration to all Mountaineers, based on availability, 7-10 days prior to date of the hike.

This hike is scheduled early in the season for the elevation so microspikes and poles may be required.

We will start out on the Naches Loop Trail and pick up the Pacific Crest Trail after crossing the road.  We will follow the PCT to the next major trail intersection and begin descending to Dewey Lake where our break will be at the far end of Dewey Lake.  After our break we will return the way we came and continue on the Naches Loop Trail for some scenic views of Mt. Rainier on a clear day.  The hike will end with a  casual walk around the popular Tipsoo Lake to complete the loop.
