Hike meeting location and time:  7:30am at the Hood Canal Ranger District Quilcene Station.  From there we will all drive to the trailhead together since even with directions, I have had some get lost due to poorly marked roads.

Trip will initially open to Tacoma Branch Conditioning Hiking Students.  Trip will open for registration to all Mountaineers, based on availability, 7-10 days prior to date of the hike.

Leader is requiring proof of vaccination from all participants.

The hike is long but only the 1800ft elevation is spread out over the hike so it is not bad; I can assure you that almost anyone who has been doing the Tacoma CHS hikes can do this one.  It is also a lovely river forested hike that we all may appreciate on this potentially hot August day.  Lastly, my hike next month is Marmot Pass that it the upper part of this hike so if you do both, you will known 2 beautiful hikes in the Olympics.
