ICE 1 - Leading Hard Snow - Observation Rock/North Face

Learning the basics of ice climbing on steep, hard snow.

Learning basic ice tool positions and crampon techniques, placing pickets and screws, anchor building, and 2 person crevasse rescue. Students will swing leads on a multi-pitch route consisting of hard snow up to 60 degrees.
