The National Forest Foundation, Stevens Pass Mountain Resort and U.S. Forest Service will host a Friends of the Forest® volunteer stewardship event to remove trash from the mountain slopes of scenic Stevens Pass. Volunteers will have an opportunity to ride a ski lift to reach cleanup areas. Complimentary BBQ lunch is provided by the Stevens Pass Mountain Resort. Volunteers must register by July 31, 2016. Volunteers should bring rain gear, bug repellent, and, in order to work on the steep slopes, wear ankle supporting boots with good traction (i.e. hiking or work boots).
