8:00am meet at Bowman Bay to prep launch

8:30am pre launch chat.

8:45am launch from Bowman Bay.

Most likely, pending weather, we will go around Lighthouse Point into Lottie Bay as a base practice area for the lesson part of this outing. Then each person paired up with a partner, can explore and leverage the ebb coming out of Canoe Pass, pending skill and comfort levels.

3pm to 4pm return to Bowman.

This clinic will intensively focus on the mechanics of bracing: initially in a calm bay and then in dynamic water. It is suitable for beginners or advanced paddlers who want to push their technique to the next level.
As an ACA L4 Open Water Coastal Kayaking certified instructor, I have found that many clinics and paddling events don't focus on the details of properly preventing yourself from tipping over. By rigorously practicing the functional steps of both a LOW BRACE and HIGH BRACE you gain confidence to leverage your edge and gain greater control over your boat and paddling experience.
