
Field trip: Conditioning Hiking Series
CHS 2 Hike - Rainbow & Island Lakes
A moderate, 12 mile hike with 3,000 ft in elevation gain. The hike starts in old forest and passes Talapus, Olallie and Blazer Lakes before opening into alpine forested meadows and the destination pair of beautiful lakes. A great conditioning hike, led at a CHS 2 pace (2.0-3.0 mph).

Meet in the trailhead parking lot at 7:45 am, ready to start hiking at 8 am.
Details will be emailed to registered participants a few days before the hike. We will be hiking for about 7-7.5 hours including brief stops for views and snacks.
Parking Pass/Entry Fee: Northwest Forest Pass required for parking.
