We will hike up the Box Canyon trail and merge on to the Wonderland Trail, which we will take up and over the Cowlitz Divide and down into Indian Bar.   We will wander through forests and wildflower meadows, with views out to Rainier and the surrounding peaks.  We will lunch at or near the group camp site at Indian Bar, then return to the trailhead via the same route.

Meet at the Box Canyon parking area off the Stevens Canyon road in Mount Rainier National Park at 8am.

There are restrooms at this trailhead.  No reservations are required to enter the park via the Stevens Canyon or Longmire entrances.  An America the Beautiful pass or a Standard ($30 per vehicle) or Annual ($55 per vehicle) National Park pass is required for entrance to the park and for parking.  The entrance booths may or may not be staffed at the time we enter the park, so make sure you have your pass ahead of time.
