Starting in Issaquah at the East Sunset Way TH, this is a meandering route through Tradition Plateau in the Tiger Mountain lowlands, up to the Talus Rocks trail, then looping back to the TH.  From the TH, the trail immediately rises ~300’ elevation in about 0.5 miles. A nice warm-up! The next ~3.5 miles around the Tradition Plateau are fairly level with minor ups and downs. At 4 miles the trail rises steeply to the Talus Rocks trail, ~700’ elevation gain in about ¾ mile.  A short section (about 0.25 mi) of this route is on Cable Line which is rutted and very steep.
