This is a long hike and on a Sunday no less so getting to the trailhead early can get us off the trail and back home at a somewhat reasonable hour. I would like to meet at the Enumclaw Ranger Station (450 Roosevelt Ave E, Enumclaw, WA 98022) at 6:15am. It takes a little over an hour from there to the trail. You are welcome to meet closer to home and carpool to Enumclaw together - I just want to make sure we group up in Enumclaw as cell coverage is spotty. You are also welcome to stay closer to the hike the night before, but please let me know your plans. Leaving Enumclaw at 6:30 will have us to the trail before 8.
There is long section of the trail where we will traverse along a steep slope. The trail is wide enough for horses, but could give those with exposure or vertigo issues trouble.
