CHS 1 Hike - Kendall Katwalk

Midweek hike to Kendall Katwalk with a peek at what likes beyond.

  • Strenuous
  • Challenging
  • Mileage: 14.4 mi
  • Elevation Gain: 2,800 ft
  • High Point Elevation: 5,476 ft
  • Pace: 1.5 - 2.0 mph

Tibbetts Park & Ride in Issaquah.  6:00am.

This is a work day for most people so we will get an early start to avoid the morning commute traffic.

The Kendall Katwalk is a locally famous location (and rightly so) and August is peak season, which makes this trip very popular on weekends.  We will go midweek to avoid the crowds.

Our turnaround point will be a vista about 0.7 miles past the Katwalk itself, which offers views of the vast range of mountains that lie to the north and of the Pacific Crest Trail as it winds its way among them towards Canada.

After the hike the plan is so stop at North Bend Bar & Grill.
