CHS 1 Hike - Ebeys Landing

Welcome to one of Washington State's most unique and beautiful hikes! Views of the sound, mountains, and wildlife abound. Ebey's Landing is an easy 5.6 mile day hike loop with just 260 feet elevation gain. The trail starts at the edge of Admiralty Inlet in Puget Sound, going along the top of a bluff above Peregos Lake.

Will will catch the 8:00AM Mukilteo Ferry. Crossing is 20 minutes, followed by a 40 minute drive to the Prairie Overlook Trailhead across the road from Sunnyside cemetery. Meeting at the trailhead parking lot at 9:00AM. Be geared up and ready to hike at 9:15AM.

Participants will have their ferry fare and a share of their drivers vehicle fare that they are expected to pay toward http://www.wsdot.wa.gov/ferries/fares/FaresDetail.aspx?tripdate=20180415&departingterm=14&arrivingterm=5.

Leaders will send out a Hello Hiker Letter early in the week before the hike. Hike participants will want to connect with others on the trip roster to create carpools from where they live to the Mukilteo Ferry. There is no long term parking here at the ferry terminal. 

Part of this hike is hiking on an exposed bluff. Please be advised if you have vertigo or have a fear of heights this might trigger some anxiety.

Also, part of this hike is hiking on the sandy beach.

Following the hike, we will enjoy lunch/bakery snack at nearby Coupeville.
