Climbing Conditioner - Mount Si Main Trail

Time-trial conditioning eval for Kate/Ambrose SIG. Other Basic student are welcome to join as long as you email the primary leader first

Meet at the trailhead at 8am and be ready to go at 8:15am.  We will hike up at your own pace, but we will travel together as a group coming back down on Mt Si Main Trail.

This hike is the time-trial conditioning eval for students in Kate/Ambrose SIG. The fitness requirement is being able to hike to Mt Si boulder field (4 miles, 3200 ft gain) with 25lb pack / 20% of body weight (whichever is greater) in under 2 hours. 

An email regarding trip logistics will be sent out 5-7 days prior to the trip. Pack weight and mountaineering boots are optional. Dress as appropriate for the weather.

In addition to your 10 Essentials, you'll need microspikes, along with a headlamp and extra batteries.   Weighted packs and mountaineering boots are optional, but a good idea to help you gauge your fitness and break in your boots.
