Intermediate Glacier Travel Field Trip Part 2.

This is Part 2 of the Intermediate Glacier Travel Field Trip. Students must have taken Part 1 with Peter Tran (link here).

Part 1 will have reviewed crevasse rescue and snow anchors

Part 2 day 1 will include a review of unroped and roped travel, ice axe arrest, route finding, and leadership. Students will also organize and plan a climb of Eldorado Peak via the Inspiration Glacier

 

If weather is amenable, Part 2 Day 2 will include the execution of the students plan to summit Eldorado via the Inspiration Glacier. Students will be expected to lead, navigate, and manage the climb with minimal help from the climb leader and instructors.
