Climbing Self Rescue II

Climbing Self Rescue II-B. In Self Rescue 2, you will practice and become proficient in rescue techniques for the following scenario: The leader (unresponsive) has fallen with more than half a rope length out on technical, vertical terrain.

What would happen if your climbing partner was seriously injured half-way up a multi-pitch climb and needed to be evacuated?  Are you prepared to carry out a rescue with the limited resources you typically carry on an alpine rockclimb?

Self Rescue 2 is dedicated to rescue techniques, using only the equipment on your harness and the rope you are climbing on. Students will learn the skills necessary to rescue a fallen and incapacitated leader.
