What would happen if your climbing partner was seriously injured half-way up a multi-pitch climb and needed to be evacuated? Are you prepared to carry out a rescue with the limited resources you typically carry on an alpine rockclimb?
Self Rescue 2 is dedicated to rescue techniques, using only the equipment on your harness and the rope you are climbing on. Students will learn the skills necessary to rescue a fallen and incapacitated leader.
Required: Successful completion of Self Rescue 1 or equivalent. If your self rescue skills were attained from a non-Mountaineers course, you must submit your self rescue training and climbing resume to the course leader before you register for the course.
