We will be meeting at the Collins property in west Olympia, the address will be sent in an email a few days prior.
Feel free to arrive at 4:30pm. The bonfire will be lit at 4:45pm. The potluck style dinner will start at 5:00pm.
We will provide soup and hot cocoa. Please bring a side dish to share, flashlights for kids, seats for sitting, and warm layers based on the weather predictions. Natural torches (cattails, mullein) for the kids and fire starting kits for everyone to start the ceremonial fire. Go for a walk through the forests on a glowing path. Come together to celebrate the returning of the light. If you have stories to share and instruments for singing please bring them with you.
Come and meet other families and friends as we kick off our winter with a community bonfire! Bring a side dish to share and come ready to meet one another and play together. We will have activities for the kids, fire starter kits for anyone you would like to help with the bonfire lighting, and plenty of soup for everyone.
