Snowshoeing

Youth activity: Mountain Workshop - HOCM

Snowshoeing - Hands On Children's Museum

Volunteer to show kids and families at the Hands on Childrens Museum the basics of snowshoeing!

  • For Beginners (Getting Started Series)

We will have two shifts each day with 3-4 volunteers for each shift. Volunteers will help kids and their parents to put on snow shoes and walk down a course of snow or straw.  We will be discussing with parents how to get kids outside during the winter and demonstrate inexpensive but effective clothing for young kids.

Shifts are from  10:30-1:15 and 12:45-3:30, both days.  Volunteers must be youth qualified with Mountaineers.  Activity is outside, so come prepared for old, wind, and rain (although we will be somewhat sheltered!)

Contact leader directly to sign up for shifts.
