This is an eLearning course — students will complete the self-paced modules remotely via computer.
Coassemble, the Mountaineers' Learning Management System, will be set up and available to begin on September 6th. You must begin the online modules not later than September 13th and complete them by September 20th. Most students spend 10-15 hours working through the eLearning modules (not including time spent reading the chapters from the book), so budget your time accordingly. Further details and registration on the separate Coassemble site will be provided by email on September 6th. Please make sure you have all the required materials together before beginning the eLearning workshop.
Required Equipment
For the eLearning workshop, you will need to use your Mountaineers-approved compass with adjustable declination, pencil, paper, USGS Baring map and Wilderness Navigation, 3rd edition book.
