Orientation will be held via Zoom, starting promptly at 6:30 pm and ending at 8:00 pm.
Zoom log in info will arrive in your email inbox 2-3 days before orientation.
In this second session of the Mountaineers GoHike series, we'll give you the basic information and tools to get started hiking, share information about the series and what is involved, and connect you with a community of other hikers and dedicated volunteers who are eager to help you overcome any roadblocks or fears and get out there, starting from where you are! This session is required to graduate from the GoHike series.
All new and returning participants must attend.
Required Equipment
None. We'll have examples of gear for you to look at, and help you learn how to decide what gear is essential for a given hike and set of conditions. Then as the series progresses will help you fill in any gaps in your gear kit with a minimum of expense.
