May Hikes: 3 to 5.5 miles, 300 to 1,250 feet gain - Taylor Mountain

Beginning at the Taylor Mountain parking lot, we will meander through a lovely forest, and on the Whiskey Still Trail. This will be a loop hike, sharing it with the horses! - This hike can apply toward your GoHike Series graduation!

  • Easy/Moderate
  • Moderate
  • Mileage: 5.5 mi

Since there has been some changes to what we will be doing for this hike, it is now a partial loop. And because the elevation gain varies between applications, I've increased it to 900, but again, a margin of error is to be expected. We will hike and if the group feels like it's too much, we can always turn around and return to our cars.

Hike is largely open. There is some forest canopy, but mostly not.
