  • Mileage: 5.0 mi
  • Elevation Gain: 550 ft
  • Pace: 1.0-1.5 mph

Drive SR 18 to the Tiger Summit Trailhead, about 4 miles from Exit 25 off of I-90, and continue west on West Side Road to the Iverson Railroad Trailhead (1,480 ft).

We do not recommend carpooling with anyone outside your household at this time.

Hike the Iverson Railroad Trail, a nice forested walk with ~200 feet of elevation gain and then level walking. When  it intersects Road 1000, follow the road for 0.3 miles and turn right (north) onto the Tiger Mountain Trail (TMT). Ascend ~200 feet on the trail to Zeig's Zag, a sharp bend in the trail. Go straight onto the Artifacts Trail and reach the site of the fatal logging train wreck where you'll see some very interesting, old pieces of the train.

We will follow The Mountaineers phase 2 Covid-19 protocols and every participant will be asked to agree to the Covid-19 Code of Conduct in order to register.
