Carpooling with anyone outside your household is not recommended at this time due to the risk of Covid-19.
There are restrooms at the trailhead and at the lunch spot (Fort Nisqually). No parking pass is required at Dune Peninsula Park.
We start out on a wide concrete path leading over a pedestrian overpass to Point Defiance Park, pass by the historic Pagoda and through the Japanese Garden to the Fort Nisqually picnic area, our lunch stop and turnaround point.

Required Equipment
Footwear should be appropriate for walking on concrete and dirt paths. Non-cotton clothing should be worn that can be layered to adjust to changing body temperatures.
