This seminar is for newer and experienced Foothills hike, urban walk and backpack leaders interested in discussing the top 5 leadership challenges with your peers. It will be coupled with a practical application workshop focused on trip posting essentials and pre-trip communications.

One of the best ways to reach practical solutions is to share experiences with other leaders, new and experienced. We will learn from one another in a spirit of collaboration as we discuss leadership challenges, leadership styles, coupled with a workshop session on trip posting essentials and pre-trip communication.
Who is this workshop for?
- Newer and experienced leaders who lead at least 2 trips a year.
Registration Qualifications:
- You must be a Mountaineers hike, urban walk or backpack leader.
- Leaders from other branches are welcome!
Seminar/Workshop Objectives:
- Discuss the top 5 leader challenges and identify solutions
- Identify your strengths
- Workshop key elements for trip postings and pre trip communications
Seminar/Workshop Expectations:
- Come prepared to actively participate in breakout sessions and group dialogue
- Respect one another's input & ideas
- Prepare to share your leader experiences
- Be open to collaboration as we workshop ideas, suggestions, and potential communication improvements
This will take place via Zoom, with break-out rooms for the workshop portion of the seminar. Zoom log-in details will be provided two days before the seminar.
Time: 6:00 pm - 8:30 pm: This session will not be recorded
