This evening seminar gives students basic skills and information to handle the most common emergency and first-aid situations encountered on trails.

  • For Beginners (Getting Started Series)

6:30-9PM at the Mercer Island Library,  4400 88th Ave SE, Mercer Island, WA 98040.  (Note that location is subject to change until mid January)

This one-night clinic will provide new and long-time hikers and backpackers with some basic skills and information to handle the most common first-aid situations encountered on trails:   blisters, sprains, hypothermia, wound care, splints and slings as time permits. We will also review Mountaineers club protocols for responding to emergency situations.   DOES NOT SATISFY THE WFA REQUIREMENT FOR OTHER MOUNTAINEERS COURSES.
