Field trip: Backpacking Building Blocks (B3) Course
Backpacking Building Blocks Student-Only Backpack - North Fork Skokomish River
This 40 mile trip will give B3 students the opportunity to apply their B3 skills on a challenging but rewarding four day alpine backpack with experienced mentors. Requesting leader permission (email hess@whidbey.com) is open to any physically qualified and skilled B3 student Sept 7-22 at 9am, priority given to students needing trips to graduate.

Meet at the North Fork Skokomish River trailhead at the north end of lake Cushman Thursday morning at 9am.
Day 1: Eleven miles up the North Fork Skokomish River valley to Two Bear camp. A great kickoff to further adventures.
Day 2: Eight miles over First Divide, follow along the Duckabush River, then up to Marmot and Hart Lakes, moving on to Lake Lacrosse.
Day 3: Twelve miles . Explore Hart Lake, then retrace our path over First Divide to camp at Nine Streams.
Day 4: Nine miles down the Skokomish Valley to the trailhead .
These will be long but wonderful days!

Required Equipment
The Ten Essentials plus overnight gear as specified by the trip leader. Bring $25/pp to reimburse the leader for Olympic Park camp fees. There will also be a Park entrance fee for each car.
