BASIC CLASS UPDATE

Our regular pool is not available due to construction so Cathie has booked the Evergreen Pool. It is a longer drive but also has more room so we can register additional students.

Status update of registrations and volunteers, co-assemble modules.

Status update of student paddles: three trips have been planned and posted by Bill Coady, and others are being organized by Bradley, Marie, Justin and Doug Palm.  

TRIP PLANNING MEETING

A meeting was held in February at the home of Michele Rushworth to plan upcoming trips and to discuss mentorship of eight new potential trip leaders.

NEW LEADERS

Eight new trip leaders/potential lead instructors have been identified and will be participating in three Saturdays of training with Body Boat Blade. We are looking for more existing leaders to become mentors to these new folks.  

ANNUAL SEA KAYAKING SUMMIT

Michele Rushworth attended this meeting via Zoom and will be presenting a summary.

VOLUNTEER NEEDS

Volunteers are needed in the following areas: Secretary, Safety Committee Coordinator, New Leader Training Coordinator and mentors.

Currently scheduled for MARCH 21, 2024 to be led by Cathie Frizalone
