A long ridge hike up to a well-known mostly snow-free peak at the eastern edge of the Olympics that can be seen from Seattle. Great views of Hood Canal and Puget Sound to the east and the Olympics in the other direction. Guidebook says 3600 ft. gain but does not account for all ups and downs of ridge which may add at least 1000 feet more of total gain.
This is a long hike with great views and it is a pricey ferry commute from the east shore of the Sound, so the hike will be cancelled if weather is bad.
