Discover Portland's Urban Trails

Eli Boschetto, author of the new guidebook Urban Trails: Portland will share some of the wild and scenic trails in and around Portland that showcase and preserve the natural and cultural heritage of Portland's unique and special place in the Northwest. Discover old-growth forests, riverside beaches, ancient volcanoes, wild wetlands and historic sites--and some of the secrets that lie within--on a selection of easily-accessible footpaths, hiking trails and bike routes. Destinations include options for a variety of ages, abilities and interests--all without having to travel far from home.

Your guide, Eli Boschetto, has extensively hiked, written about, and photographed trails around the western US and Canada. He is the author of Hiking the Pacific Crest Trail: Oregon and the director of PCT: Oregon, and has been a trail correspondent for Backpacker and the editor of Washington Trails.
