Forget the long lines and expensive tickets of traditional European tourist sites. Cassandra Overby, the author of Explore Europe on Foot, and Beth Jusino, the author of Walking to the End of the World, join forces to show you the best way to experience Europe's rich history and breathtaking landscapes--on foot.

They'll introduce you to the variety of trails that crisscross Europe, from pilgrimage routes like the iconic Camino de Santiago that Beth walked for 1000 miles, to more modern history hikes like WWII's Omaha Beach and cultural treks like France's Alsace Wine Route. Beth will share stories from her 79-day journey on the Camino, and Cassandra will show you how to embark on your own European cultural hiking adventure, whether you want to walk for a day, a week, or even as long as Beth.

Cassandra Overby is a freelance travel and outdoors writer who loves combining her enthusiasm for foreign travel and hiking by encouraging people to explore the world on foot—and helping them do it. Learn more at explore-on-foot.com.

Beth Jusino is an active member of the American Pilgrims of the Camino and offers workshops and talks about the Way of Saint James as often as anyone lets her. She has returned to the Camino twice (so far); you can find photos and read much more about her Camino obsession at caminotimestwo.com.

This event is free and open to the public. Copies of Explore Europe on Foot and Walking to the End of the World will be available for purchase.
