Volunteers Needed for Wilderness First Aid Scenarios in Renton - May 9

We need both volunteer patients and evaluators for our WFA first aid scenarios. This experience will provide a refresher for students with prior WFA/AFA/MOFA experience and an introduction to Wilderness First Aid for those not yet enrolled.

Volunteers Needed for Wilderness First Aid Scenarios in Renton - May 9

One of the most valuable parts of the Wilderness First Aid course is the scenario practice sessions. In these scenarios, teams of students must respond to simulated backcountry emergency first aid situations. We're in need of volunteers to help with our May 9 WFA by play-acting as victims. You will get very fun and realistic accident make-up (moulage) and will be given a script for a role-play situation.

If you've never participated as a fake patient before, these scenarios are a great opportunity to flex your acting chops while brushing up on your own emergency response skills.

The sessions are going to be hosted at scenario the Lake Desire Community Clubhouse in Renton. People of all ages and skill levels are welcome to participate.

Please consider helping us out! To volunteer, email the course leader Barbara Folmer at , or visit the course page and register as an instructor. When you register let Barbara know your preference to be a patient or evaluator. Also let us know if you can assist with makeup application.
