Thank you for Sharing your Story and Being Part of Ours

As explorers both on and off the page, we are passionate about sharing our stories of community, adventure, and advocacy in hopes of welcoming a new friend to an experience they’ve never had before. Starting with #GiveBIG, The Mountaineers launched a month-long campaign to directly support our publishing division, Mountaineers Books.

Thank you for Sharing your Story and Being Part of Ours

Starting with #GiveBIG on May 8, The Mountaineers launched a month-long campaign to directly support our publishing division, Mountaineers Books. As explorers both on and off the page, we are passionate about sharing our stories of community, adventure, and advocacy in hopes of welcoming a new friend to an experience they’ve never had before.

Because of you, we raised over $10,000 to bring stories to life. Of the 58 donors who participated, more than half took advantage of the matching gift challenge by giving $100 or more. Thank you for your generosity and dedication! Our work is not possible without you.

#Donate $100 to support books that change lives

As a donor, you allow us to expand our impact even further through partnerships with other nonprofit-organizations to support conservation, education, and communities around the world. Our impact increases when we are able to donate books to enhance the educational experience for others.

This donor ripple effect can be seen at The San Diego Zoo, which uses Mountaineers Books to support their extensive education programs. Teachers from around the globe travel to participate in the zoo’s Teacher Workshops in Conservation Science. With a curriculum supported by our book We Are the Arctic, these educators take their workshop experiences back to classrooms, kids, and other teachers.

“Thank you so much for helping us bring the Arctic a little closer to students and to teachers around the world.”

The San Diego Zoo Institute for Conservation Research

If you missed your chance to participate in #GiveBIG, you still have an opportunity to make a difference. Thanks to the generosity of Rich and Martha Draves, we’re extending the match challenge through the entire month of May. With a gift of $100 or more, you can double your impact in support of books that change minds and inspire others to get outside!

Thank you again for the many ways your support The Mountaineers and Mountaineers Books.

With gratitude,

P.S. On May 8, we featured David Moskowitz’s Caribou Rainforest as an example how books inspire thoughtful conversations and positive action. We also highlighted Heather Anderson’s Thirst, inspiring a sense of connection to the wild places where we play and a motivation to get out there. If you missed your chance to make a gift, we have extended the opportunity to match up to 30 donations of $100 or more. Pledge your gift today.
