Public Memorial Dates for Dee Molenaar and Patti Polinsky

Dee Molenaar and Patti Polinsky were each beloved members of The Mountaineers community who passed away shortly before or during the pandemic. Due to safety concerns, we were not able to host public memorials as we normally would to bring our community together for healing. Now that it's safe to do so, we are honored to be able to host two Celebration of Life memorials for these incredible individuals.

Dee Molenaar - October 10, 2021

Dee Molenaar was an international mountaineering legend, Pacific Northwest hero, climber, geologist, and artist. Throughout his life, Dee demonstrated great generosity, getting as much satisfaction from helping others achieve their mountain goals as he did from achieving his own. He passed away on January 19, 2020, at the age of 101, and is survived by his daughter Karen and sons David and Peter. His bravery and selflessness were legendary

We're hosting a memorial for Dee on Sunday, October 10 at our Seattle Program Center. Please RSVP for more details.
