Mountaineers Books included in Washington State Time Capsule

Thirteen Mountaineers Books have been selected for inclusion in the Washington Centennial Time Capsule.

The books were published between 1989 and 2014, and were chosen because of their representation of Washington State culture.

This project was started in 1989 with the goal of having the time capsules opened in 2389, the state’s 500th birthday. Every 25 years the project swears in a new generation of youth as “capsule keepers” with a ceremony at the Capitol; if you know a youth who might be interested in being a guardian of WA history and culture, sign them up! http://www.capsulekeepers.org/news.php.
