Introducing the Virtual Education Center & Calendar

While we’re all practicing social distancing and earning our Stayed Home badges for the greater good, we invite you to sharpen your skills and stay connected to the outdoors and each other with our new Virtual Education Center and Virtual Events & Activities Calendar. Build out your toolkit with new tips & tricks, read how to's, find online learning opportunities, and register for virtual events and activities to help you stay connected and engaged with your Mountaineers community.

The Virtual Education Center is your new home to brush up on outdoor skills or pick up new ideas for your next adventure (when it’s safe for all of us to do so). We’ve organized our favorite content into a Resource Center by skill area, and we’ll be adding new content all the time.

  • Conservation & Advocacy
  • Fitness & Performance
  • Gear Tips
  • Leadership Skills
  • Preparedness & Planning
  • Technical Skills

You can also check out all of our virtual events and activities to connect with other Mountaineers. We’ll continue to offer online versions of your favorite events like Beta & Brews, plus new opportunities on mindful meditation, outdoor photography, and reducing your carbon footprint.

Online Classes

In addition, many of our volunteers are taking their favorite workshops online. Learn about lightweight backpacking, get acquainted with your map and compass, hone your leadership skills, and more!

Online Classes

The support, enthusiasm to help, and creativity coming from our members, volunteers, and staff in the last few weeks has been tremendous. Thanks to everyone who has made a charitable gift, renewed their membership, signed up for a future course, and participated with us in this new virtual landscape. We appreciate you!

Get Involved

If you are a Leader looking for meaningful ways to contribute to The Mountaineers community during these unprecedented times, we invite you to sign up for one of the fun and creative opportunities to help keep our community connected. Visit our Content Creation Tools page to learn more about helping to create online curriculum, hosting a virtual meetup, and more!
