Free Film Screening - Climbing Redwood Giants
Redwood Giants

The next meeting of the Foothills branch will be June 24th at the Eagle Room at Issaquah City Hall (130 East Sunset Way).  Doors open at 6:30pm for socializing and light snacks and beverages.

Following a brief branch meeting, at 7:15 p.m. there will be a free screening of the (50 minute) National Geographic film "Climbing Redwood Giants."

The film tells the story of pioneering redwood climber Steve Sillett, of Humboldt State University, and his exploration and investigation of the biology of the massive crowns of redwood trees.  The movie also documents the ground-level exploration of redwood forests by two hikers as they seek to find the northern-most redwood tree in America.
