Foothills Branch Potluck and Volunteer Recognition Night - December 14
Participants in our Backpacking Building Blocks course descend through wildflowers near Norse Peak.

Our branch has accomplished great things this year, delivering top-notch learning opportunities, outdoor adventures and events.

Please join us for a fun evening and potluck supper to make new Mountaineers friends, reconnect with fellow volunteers and members, and say thank you to the people who have made our winter sports, hiking, backpacking and other courses and programs happen. Let's celebrate the dedication, comaraderie and sense of community that shine bright across Foothills.

The evening will consist of a branch meeting and informational update, a volunteer recognition event, and an interesting film/speaker segment, plus great potluck specialties! Beverages will be provided.

As a special treat, trail guidebook author Craig Romano – author of 14 guidebooks – will join us to take us on an adventure through Mount St. Helens National Volcanic Monument as he talks about this special place and highlights some of his favorite trails within the monument.  Craig’s book “Day Hiking Mount St. Helens” was published by The Mountaineers Books on May 1, 2015. This will be Craig’s first area appearance to discuss his latest guidebook.
