Join us for a screening of Resistance Climbing, one of three Reel Rock 17 films on tour right now. In the strife-torn hills of Palestine, a diverse crew of Bedouins, dirtbags, and urban professionals embrace climbing as a much-needed respite from the burdens of the Israeli military occupation. American writer and climber Andrew Bisharat visits the West Bank to explore his own roots and the power of climbing to transform lives.
After the film there will be a Q&A where you'll have the opportunity to hear from producer Tim Bruns and cinematographer Austin Siadak. Bruns is the founder of Wadi Climbing, the first climbing gym in the West Bank. Siadak is a renowned cinematographer and is best known for his cinematography in The Alpinist.
