Is "NWAC" a household term and already a valuable resource for you? Or, have you never heard of them? Whether you are already a veteran backcountry skier/rider/snowshoer or you are still feeling very new, the Northwest Avalanche Center (NWAC) website has much to offer you. And this season, much has changed on their website that you need to know about.

To that point, Scott Schell of NWAC has graciously offered to come speak for us. In addition to being the Program Director in charge of NWAC's education program and observers network, Scott is a certified AMGA Ski Mountaineering Guide and is the co-author of Backcountry Skiing, Skills for Ski Touring and Ski Mountaineering.

Please come on down to Backcountry Essentials tomorrow night (1/14) at 7:30 PM and hear straight from the source on how NWAC forecasts avalanche hazard and how you can get the most out of the NWAC website

This is a free event open to the public. Please bring your friends and spread the word. Looking forward to seeing you there!
