Adventure Writing Workshop with Charlotte Austin - June 16, 2022

We're very excited to be hosting international mountain guide and adventure writer Charlotte Austin again for an evening writing workshop. Whether you're an experienced author, part-time blogger, or curious novice, this class will give you a glimpse into the wide world of writing.

Charlotte is back after a long pandemic hiatus! The Mountaineers have hosted Charlotte's writing workshops since 2017, and they proved so popular that we are thrilled to have her at our Seattle Program Center once again to share her expertise and inspiration with our community!

In this hands-on, interactive evening, Charlotte will share her tips, tricks and secrets to developing a writing practice, refining your stories, and getting published. Whether you’re a devoted journaler, dream of a career as freelance adventure writer, or are a published author, this workshop will help take you to the next level.

No experience is necessary, and you don't need to be a Mountaineers member; just bring your love of writing and a desire to share your adventurous life. We’ll practice with fun and engaging writing prompts, dive into the tools you need to craft compelling stories, and discuss options for publication. No special equipment needed, other than your writing supplies (pen and paper or laptop) and a sense of curiosity.

As a special treat for the Mountaineers community, Charlotte has also agreed to share early readings from her book about climbing Mount Everest during this workshop. Join us for this can't-miss sneak peek!

Advance tickets are available for $22 for Mountaineers members and $26 for non-members (plus a small ticket processing fee). Charlotte's previous workshops sold out, and there were no tickets available at the door - buy your advance ticket now so that you are sure to have a spot!
