10 Essentials: Questions

How did you get involved with The Mountaineers?

I became more involved with The Mountaineers a year ago when I started working for Mountaineers books. Since then, I've taken the navigation course at the program center and plan to get out more in the near future!

What motivates you to get outside with us?

Sharing a love for the outdoors with people that feel equally as passionate about our world.

What's your favorite Mountaineers memory?

I was at a BeWild event last year, legs stretched out sitting on the floor and staring at photos from Sage Spirit by Dave Showalter. The images of the American West - Colorado and Wyoming - were spectacular. I think one of the coolest parts of The Mountaineers is bringing people together who have a shared sense of wonder and passion for the outdoors. In addition to the wide gamut of courses offered, there's also some pretty awesome events that are inspiring and make you want to get out there!

Who/What inspires you?

I'm fortunate enough to be surrounded by tenacious people who dig into their hobbies and passions. I'm inspired by my close friends who make me laugh, my family who reminds me of where I came from, and my partner who is the most creative person I know. I am also inspired every time I step foot in the mountains by the stunning world that we live in

What does adventure mean to you?

Adventure means following a dream or idea and giving it all you have. It means exploring uncharted territory and relishing every second of it - the good and the bad.

Lightning Round

Smile or game face? Smile.
What's your happy place? Tunnels Beach, Kauai
