GoHike Pacing Hike - Lord Hill Regional Park (Beaver Lake)

Great walk thru the woods. Beaver "Lake" was underwhelming, but the forest is lovely and quite differentiated over just the single mile into it.

  • Road suitable for all vehicles

  • A bit muddy in spots so boots really a requirement for these conditions.  Signage is deceptive in spots so a decent map or mapping program would also be helpful (more than the signs).

First pacing hike on the Go Hike series.  Skilled leaders had us  well managed.  What could have been just a gentle easy pacing hike thru the woods was improved with interesting information about the trees, plants, and served as a reminder to me to look up and notice the world around me.  Looking forward to the next Go Hike.
