Day Hike - Tubal Cain Mine & Buckhorn Lake
Successful hike up to B-17 wreckage on a quite cool day. Rhodies were in bloom and the group was impressed with the wreckage. Trail is in good condition.

It's a long drive in from Hwy 101 (21 miles) Road is in good condition, but has a history of being quite rough at times! Trail is in good condition with moderate incline to the mine (3.2 miles). The spur to the airplane wreckage, which is easy to miss, is much steeper, climbing 600' in .9 miles. The rhodies were out in full bloom!!
