Fulton Creek

Trip

Intermediate Canyon - Fulton Creek

An early season run of Fulton, hoping to encounter higher-than-moderate flow. Day 1 of a canyoneering weekend on the Olympic Peninsula. Come for one or both days.

  • Basic Canyon
  • Moderate
  • Mileage: 1.0 mi
  • Elevation Gain: 310 ft

We will meet late morning near the trailhead.  Campsite location to be provided 1-2 weeks beforehand.  More details will be provided once registration closes.

If you like rappelling in the flow, or want to gain experience in potentially pushy flow, then this is for you.   Although a basic canyon from a technical perspective, due to the timing and expectation for higher-than-moderate flow, this trip is open to Intermediate badge holders, or with Leader permission only.

We will be camping at a large, flat, primitive, camp spot near Duckabush Road bridge with room for 8-10 vehicles.

If the flow is unreasonably high, we will move to a nearby alternative, such as Fir or Fulton.
