Intermediate Alpine Climb - Black Peak/Northeast Ridge

Required Equipment

  • I tend to be more a light-weight climber and would encourage the same for other women. 
  • We'll work out more of the gear once we form our team. 
  • The Ten Essentials
  • Approach shoes 
  • Rock shoes
  • Aluminum, strap, crampons that can go on your approach shoes
  • An ice axe (a light weight one, if you have it)
  • A sleeping bag
  • A sleeping pad (or use the pad in your backpack)
  • Bivy sack, tarp or lightweight tent
  • A back pack (no bigger than 40 liters, please)
  • Summit pack
  • Small rack / nut tool
  • Alpine draws/ double runners
  • Anchor system: cordelette/ lockers, etc
  • Leaver material: extra cordelette/ webbing, etc
  • Belay/ rappel system
  • Climbing harness
  • Helmet
