Frontcountry Trail Run - Lake Union: South Lake Union Park

As easy evening run around Lake Union. It will be ~7 miles and pretty flat.

  • Easy
  • Moderate
  • Mileage: 7.0 mi
  • Pace: 10-20min/miles

We'll meet at 6:30pm at the large, round fountain at (South) Lake Union Park

Address: 851 Terry Ave N, Seattle, WA 98109

This is a leashed dog-friendly run with the leader's permission (pending weather), see below for details.

There are some bathrooms and water fountains along the route, but I don't know of all of the locations personally.

This is a very urban, frontcountry adventure trail run. We will be doing an easy loop around Lake Union at a conversational pace (but we won't go slower than 20min/miles). We'll probably be a bit adventurous around Gas Works and I don't mind paying the Fremont Troll a visit. If folks want to volunteer other attractions to visit, I don't mind :)

We should be back around/before sundown (8:28pm), but bring high visibility gear and a headlamp to be safe since we'll be close to vehicles in some places. We will be going clockwise.

For those that are brave and have good drink holders, we can stop by 20oz tea near the end of the loop (assuming people other than me want to stop). BlenderBottle-like things and thermoses work really well for carrying drinks while running.  You can dump bubble tea in your hydration bottle/reservoir, but cleaning them won't be very fun, and bubble tea is supposed to be fun.

If you want to bring your dog, please fill out and email me a dog application to get permission. If you have filled out an application previously, just email me.
