Meet at Chuckanut Drive trailhead at 8:45 am, carpool opportunities near Seattle will be sent in the Hello Hiker email.

This hike starts off at a significant grade. The first time doing this hike made me a convert to hiking poles, I strongly recommend them.
Since this hike is scheduled for late January, it would not be unusual to encounter ice and snow, at a minimum in the shaded areas. Please bring traction augmentation like microspikes  or yak-traks for your safety. The planned distance is 9.5 miles, but can be shortened if it's really rainy and uncomfortable.
Post-hike we can adjorn to the Edison Inn for refresments and hot food.
