Day Hike - Norse Peak

Challenging and dusty hike to Norse Peak from Crystal Mountain Ski Resort with a potential for flowers and Mt. Rainier views on a clear day. Trip will initially open to Tacoma Branch Conditioning Hiking Students. Trip will open for registration to all Mountaineers, based on availability, 7-10 days prior to date of the hike.

  • Pace: 1.75 to 2 mph depending on terrain

Enumclaw Ranger Station at 7am.

Trip will initially open to Tacoma Branch Conditioning Hiking Students.  Trip will open for registration to all Mountaineers, based on availability, 7-10 days prior to date of the hike.

Bag one of the 15 hiking peaks of Mt. Rainier with me on my first trip to Norse Peak. We will begin at Crystal Mountain Resort and hike the Bullion Basin trail to the Pacific Crest Trail. After some ridge walking, we will take a side trail to the peak for some sure to please 360 degree views on a clear day. 

An alternate route to Norse Peak may be selected depending on snow conditions.

Northwest Forest Pass required to park. Restrooms may or may not be available at Crystal Mountain Resort.
