We'll leave a car at the Rock lake TH off of Hwy. 2, then proceed east to the Merritt Lake TH. After hiking up the Merritt Lake trail we will continue west along the ridge to Crescent and Rock lakes, before descending to the Rock Lake TH.

My goals for the trip are as follows:

1. Be safe.

2. Have fun.

3. Complete the planned hike.

4. Learn something.

My expectations for participants are as follows:

1. Stay with the group.

2. Be physically fit. This is a strenuous hike.

2. Have the necessary gear to be safe and comfortable and know how to use it.

3.  Participate in group discussions and decision-making regarding route selection and turn-around time.

4. Voice any concerns about trail conditions, terrain choices.

5. Be open to learning.

My Style:

1. I love puns and jokes and riddles and words.

2. I am easily distracted by nature.

3. I like a good workout but I also like to have a good time.

4. I sometimes take a bit to respond because I'm mulling over my response. If I don't respond to you right away it's because I'm thinking about your question or comment.

5. I'm curious about people, so I may ask you questions about yourself.

6. I enjoy telling stories.

7. My leadership style is flexible, usually it's fairly relaxed. I'm also a big believer in servant leadership.
