Meet at Issaquah Park and Ride Transit Center, 1050 17th Ave NW, Issaquah, WA 98027. We need to meet very early with the hope of cooler weather and parking, so we will be meeting at 6am. Try not to be late, I will wait only 5 minutes after meeting time as we need to get to the trailhead early and I do not want to waste a minute. I have not done Mount Defiance, but have been to Mason Lake and Bandera so I am somewhat familiar with the area. I am a pretty slow hiker when traveling uphill, but make up for time going downhill (gravity is my friend). I highly recommend bringing trekking poles for this trip as it is steep and will save your knees going down, but they are not required.
